Questions
Can I sign up now?
Not yet. The product is in development and sign-up is not open.
Is there a free trial?
Your first month is free. Choose a plan and add a payment method to start. Nothing is charged until your trial ends, and we remind you 7 days and 3 days before. Cancel any time before then and you pay nothing. Each business gets one free trial. Extra minutes are off during the trial.
What happens if I use more minutes than my plan?
Extra minutes are off unless you switch them on. With them off, the receptionist stops answering once your minutes are used. On plans with voicemail, callers can leave a message instead. It shows in your Inbox. With them on, calls continue at $0.35 a minute, up to a monthly limit you set, and the extra minutes are charged on a later bill, after the month they were used in. Team plans charge $0.30 a minute for extra minutes, and Team Plus $0.25.
What counts as a minute?
A call can last up to 15 minutes. Each answered call uses at least 1 minute; after that, calls are timed to the second, and each month’s total is rounded up to a whole minute. A call under 10 seconds doesn’t use your minutes, up to your plan’s amount each period; after that, each one counts as 1 minute. Time after a call is transferred to your phone isn’t counted. The test calls you make from the app are free for the first 20 minutes each month.
Do I have to change my business number?
No. Forward your number to your receptionist’s number: you keep your business number and your phone company, and nothing is ported. Or use your receptionist’s number as your business number. Your receptionist answers every call first. Your number is yours. If you leave, we keep it for 30 days after a plan ends, or 7 days after a free trial ends, and release it to your new carrier on request.
How do I cancel?
In the app, open Settings, then Plan, then Manage subscription. A page from Stripe opens in your browser, where you cancel. Your receptionist keeps answering until the plan ends. Your bill, your trial and how to cancel has the steps.
